Our Nehemiah House is our men's shelter, located at 36 Bridge St, in Petoskey. It can house up to 10 men per night. Guests participate in an evening meal every night, do daily chores, attend Bible studies Tuesdays and Thursdays, and grow together in community. During the day, guests are expected to be bettering their life situation, through job searches, housing searches, education, and anything else necessary to achieve stability and independence.

All guests are expected to adhere to the covenants and rules of Nehemiah House.

Our Mary Margaret House is our shelter for women and children, located next door at 40 Bridge St, in Petoskey. It can house up to 9 guests. Guests participate in an evening meal every night, do daily chores, attend Bible studies Tuesdays and Thursdays, and grow together in community. During the day, guests are expected to be bettering their life situation, through job searches, housing searches, education, and anything else necessary to achieve stability and independence. Mothers are expected to watch and care for their children.

All guests are expected to adhere to the covenants and rules of Mary Margaret House.

It has been such a blessing to have Grace House used in so many different ways:

• Guests who are working to transition back into the community.

• Single fathers with children.

• Mothers with special needs children.

• An entire family.

• Guests who for various reasons are granted an extended stay.

• Guests who are participating in a mentoring program.

A guest's stay at the Grace House is indeed one of grace - it is based on trust and good relationship. It is located nearby, at 44 Bridge St, in Petoskey. A stay at the Grace House is granted at the discretion of the Executive Director, and it is available to residents of the Nehemiah or Mary Margaret House. A Grace House guest is granted additional freedoms in their space, but it comes with additional responsibility. Many of our guests are able to achieve stability in their time at Nehemiah or Mary Margaret House, but some need an alternative solution. The Grace House is here to meet the need for those unique situations.

Hope Hall is our Office, Conference Room, food storage space, and winter Warming Room, all contained in one building. It is located just behind our two shelters, at 36 Bridge St and 40 Bridge St. in Petoskey. This building provides benefits such as an onsite daytime winter warming room, a place for guests to access a computer and internet, and a place to hold life skills and other educational classes. The community room at Hope Hall also provides space for Bible studies, holiday and Nehemiah meals, innkeeper training, and board meetings. In addition, our administrative offices are located in Hope Hall, and the basement provides much needed storage space and dry goods storage.

Many of the activities that now take place at Hope Hall were provided at various other sites in the community. We are blessed to now be able to have everything under one roof, so we can provide proper oversight and offer more opportunities to our guests.
